Maple Ridge's population is about 106,000, and it's been one of the fastest-growing municipalities in Metro Vancouver in recent years — though large parts of the south and east still look and feel like farmland and forest rather than suburb. The Golden Ears Bridge crosses the Fraser River to connect it with Langley, and Golden Ears Provincial Park sits right at the edge of town, popular for camping and hiking.
