Based in the Lower Mainland — does this work for Prince George?
Yes. A mortgage broker licence in BC is provincial (mine is #MB609900), not city by city.
The process was never built around meeting in person — the application is online, documents go by email or a secure upload link, and most paperwork can be e-signed remotely. The few documents that need a witness get signed with a local lawyer or notary near you, no trip required.
Plenty of Lower Mainland clients finish the whole process without meeting in person either. Prince George works the same way.
Prince George, specifically
Prince George has about 77,000 people and is the largest city in northern BC, often called the region's 'northern capital,' at the confluence of the Fraser and Nechako rivers. The economy has shifted from a forestry base toward healthcare (Northern Health), education (UNBC), and government services, and it's the main logistics hub for the north.
