Richmond has about 230,000 residents and is BC's fourth-largest city, with a large Chinese-Canadian population — it's one of the cities where I do the most work in Mandarin. The land sits low with a high water table, so very few homes here have basements, and height limits near the airport shape what gets built. Condos are the most common housing type, followed by detached homes.
